What is the study?

My name is Leah Kenyon and I am a Certified Professional Coach with Kenyon Coaching Inc. I am also a Masters of Counselling student through Gonzaga University in Spokane.
I have launched this project through Kenyon Coaching Inc in an aim to interview one person each day for one year. These are individuals who feel they are in the ‘midst’ of a quarter life crisis or who have ‘survived’ a quarter life crisis. My intention in this study is to learn more about the demographic in which I serve, in an attempt to better understand the QLC phenomenon.

In addition to this, I am working on a separate, academic independent study through Gonzaga University about the stage of life relating to the QLC. This is a separate project at the moment; however the two may collide in the future. With respects to the interviews, the information gathered will be used to learn more in a general sense about ‘themes’ relating to this stage in life. It is not my intention to feature any candidate’s particular story. Instead, this is a broader look at common themes experienced by QLCers.

Your involvement with this study is entirely voluntary and completely confidential. As a C.P.C., I am a member of two organizational bodies of coaching and adhere to each of these organization’s codes of ethics. With regards to the ethical standards to be followed by my business, my professional association memberships require me to adhere to the following codes of ethics: the International Coach Federation code of ethics: (http://www.coachfederation.org/NR/rdonlyres/98BE10A1-D918-408D-9808-98C4866DBD98/9240/2009Code.pdf) and the International Association of Coaches code of ethics: (http://www.certifiedcoach.org/ethics/ethics.html)
The interview itself will last approximately 30 minutes. Your time is greatly appreciated and I look forward to speaking with you. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at (403) 475-7227.
